Online applications and supporting materials must be submitted by 11:59 pm ET. Late submissions and incomplete applications will not be considered. There is no appeal process.

Eligibility Determination

Thank you for your interest in the GE Aerospace Foundation Star Awards Children of Employees Program. This GE Aerospace employee eligibility form must be completed by a parent/guardian in order for your child to access the online application. Once you submit this form, your child will be sent a link giving them access to IIE's online application system in order to complete an application online in English, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, or Portuguese.

Are you a current employee of GE Aerospace?

Alert: Based on your answer, you are not eligible to initiate a GE Aerospace Foundation Star Awards Children of Employees Program application on behalf of your child. To be eligible, you must be a current employee of GE Aerospace. If you have questions, please send an email to  GEAerospace@iie.org.

Are you currently an Executive Band employee, Senior Executive Band employee or Company Officer?

Alert: Based on your answer, you are not eligible to initiate a GE Aerospace Foundation Star Awards Children of Employees Program application on behalf of your child. Children or dependents of Executive Band employees, Senior Executive Band employees or Company Officers are not eligible to apply. If you have questions, please send an email to  GEAerospace@iie.org.

Does one of the following situations describe the child applying for this program? *

The applicant is your birth child or adopted child;
The applicant is a step-child who lives with you;
The applicant is a child who lives permanently with you and depends on you solely for support and for whom you or your spouse are the court-appointed permanent guardian.

Is the child applying for this program currently enrolled in their final year of high/upper secondary school?

Alert: Based on your answer, your child is not eligible to apply to the GE Aerospace Foundation Star Awards Children of Employees Program. Eligible applicants must currently be enrolled as a high school senior or at the highest level of studies available at the higher/upper secondary school level in a public, private, or parochial school (or equivalent, including students who are home-schooled). Is the child applying for this program currently expected to begin their first post-secondary/university studies in the calendar year 2026? Students enrolled in college courses for high-school credit prior to graduation from high school are eligible.

Alert: Based on your answer, your child is not eligible to apply to the GE Aerospace Foundation Star Awards Children of Employees Program. Eligible applicants must be enrolling for the first time in post-secondary education - a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university; or an accredited community college or vocational-technical school. Additionally, applicant finalists’ name, school, city, state, and country will be made available to GE Aerospace Foundation for award announcement and celebration purposes. An application package becomes the property of IIE once it is submitted. The application or any parts of the application package will not be returned to the applicant.
